February 5, 2005 We left Cincinnati at 4 pm after a day full of running the last-minute errands. The last thing I did was to pick up some performing clothes at a tailor shop downtown. The tailor himself is a really nice Italian man who lives on the "West Side". He watched my appearance on Fox19 Morning News and really wanted to check out the "old" Tajci stuff. I told him about the "Golden Collection" that Croatia Records just released. Matthew drove until 2:30 am. We were already asleep when he finally gave up. I am always amazed how far he can drive without getting tired - he was exhausted before we even left Cincinnati. He always says if it wasn't for books-on-tape, we would never get anywhere. He woke up again at 6:35 am (actually it was Evan who woke up first). We all watched as the sun came up in the East where we were headed. Matthew let me drive for a few hours (it's actually relaxing for me to drive)! We stopped just northeast of Hartford, CT. It's good to be in New England. It's still where I feel 'at-home' the most. |
